Okay because like I said I'm insane I need to rework my system entirely because it's not working.
So the main reason for this is because there are things that I want to do that will improve my life, right? There's lots of different sectors of my life specifically, but I honed them down to 5 here: Custodian, Creativity, Consumptive (need a new word), Competency, Community.

  • Custodian - Administrative things like taxes, shopping, organizing & archiving... most of this list is things I don't want to do, or like to do but need to have allotted time for it.
  • Creativity - All of my art goals go here. That includes drawing, writing, game-making, music, etc. It also includes character work & story stuff.
  • Consumptive - Media that other people have made. Mostly this is podcasts, movies, books, video games. I noticed recently that this sector of my life is hugely overshadowing the others lol. That's part of why I'm trying to rework things to be more balanced.
  • Competency - This used to just be athletics, but because I wasn't working out, I decided to include skills I want to get better at here. Maybe some variety will make it easier on me.
  • Community - I'm really bad about self-isolating. Right now, I like using it to spotlight different Discord servers I haven't been active in, but I also want to include (somehow) real life organizations.

Like many humans in the world, there is a large amount of things that I want to accomplish & get done. I make lists of these things. But because there is something wrong with me, I categorize the items, separate them, & then roll a die to figure out which thing I am working on for weeks/months at a time.

However, I need to rework my system a little bit. I had five different lists I was rolling on, but I was also using my Cultural Months list, which made things super complicated... I've been prioritizing the Cultural Months over my own things.

Maybe I should rephrase these as 'Challenges' or 'Achievements' and keep a running list of accomplishments? That'd be cute to lower the obligation and also gamify it a little bit. However, there's stuff that I accomplished that aren't on my lists, like getting published lol. Hmmmmm... What about like a bingo board? But what's the reward if I finish? Honestly, I thought that since I had the summer off, I'd be real productive with these things, but instead my mental illness has relieved itself enough that I actually have things I want to do lol.

Anyways, I need to rewrite what even goes on my list. Will come back to this later...
